Installed Ubuntu...or tried to . then.it broke my Grub. So proper install reinstalled GRUB and all seems to be well

Though if anyone has any ideas on getting DVDs to play..just can't seem to get it working...and also getting Guild Wars to work with WINE ( it loads and I can hear it but i can't actually get to the window that contains it (I got to it once then it's never shown its head again)) would be much appreciated...
